Introduction

     The decoiler, primarily utilized alongside punching machines, shearing machines, laser cutting machines, and cold bending forming machines, plays a crucial role in enabling the automated production of coil materials. By integrating with relevant equipment, it can form a production line that encompasses uncoiling, leveling, and feeding (cutting) processes, catering to the requirements of stamping workshops. This equipment finds wide application in industries such as auto parts, metal products, household appliances, and construction hardware.
       As a pivotal component of the stamping production line, the metal sheet coils decoiler serves two primary functions. Firstly, it supports the steel coil by securely tightening the inner hole of the coil. Secondly, it feeds the steel belt head into the leveler through rotational straight – heading. Given these functions, the performance of the decoiler holds significant importance for the entire production line. Through years of design practice, the structure of the decoiler has undergone continuous optimization and improvement, leading to notable enhancements in its performance.

Basic Types 

(1) Manual decoiler

Manual decoiler suitable for 5-8 tons,  equipped with handwheel and brake.

Advantages:

Low cost,simple structure and small floor space

Disadvantages:

Difficult to load, Driving passively by the Forming machine

(2)Hydraulic decoiler

Active Type

To start and stop working controlled by motor reducer Loading Capacity: 5-8tons

Inner Diameter: 450-530mm (adjustable) Rotary arm design is convenient for loading and unloading steel coils, which can be easily operated and used by one person;

The core tension is driven by hydraulic pressure, and the hydraulic system is provided with a pressure maintaining device, so that the core tension can not be relaxed after the motor of the hydraulic station stops.

The stepless variable speed motor can adjust the output speed of the motor at any time.

Advantages:

Easy to load Save labor Actively decoiling and it is powered by the motor reducer, can automatically stop or start decoiling according to the working speed of the main roll forming system

Disadvantages:

High cost Need more space to place the machine

(3)Electric decoiler

The structure is simple, the cost is low, and the motor provides power to actively decoil and discharge materials. While,when the size of the steel coil changes in use, the speed will be unstable and easy to break. Electric decoiler is generally not recommended.
